The Joburg based spiritual home of Nando’s recently underwent a spectacular update. Acre is proud to have worked alongside Clout/SA to support their vision and continued collaboration with South African design. Working closely with Clout/SA’s Creative director and their team, the project introduced a new layer of emerging South African design talent - many of whom are part of their mentorship programme. These fresh perspectives were integrated with the existing elements, building on Nando’s and Clout/SA's commitment to uncovering and showcasing the very best of South African designer-makers.
Local adoration
The refresh allowed the work of Clout/SA’s HYD winners and finalists to be included in the space, while introducing additional areas for working and meeting. Functional layers were thoughtfully added to meeting rooms, coffee stations and outdoor areas, enhancing both usability and experience.
An ode
The use of colour and pattern has always been championed in the Nando’s world and is very important in this space - an ode to South Africa’s cultural heritage.
