Client’s are often unsure what to expect when starting the interior design process, so we’ve put together a guide to our interior design work stages that we undertake during our residential, commercial or retail projects.

These key work stages are also designed help you understand the work flow of the project, and time it takes to completion. For smaller projects the work stages are amended to suit the scope.

 BRIEF

The initial phase of the project includes preliminary studies of the site or property.

We'll work with you to build a detailed brief and identify your design preferences. We will find out more about you and your design aesthetic, and ambitions for the project along with your preferred timelines & budgets. Once happy we onboard you as our newest client and start the creative process.

CONCEPT

The Concept Design is the beginning of the creative process. We'll develop basic technical layouts for your property as we begin to investigate finishes, design styles and influences. We'll create renders and early 3D models explaining our design intent, layout and flowthe design.

DEVELOPMENT

Throughout the design development stage we get into the detail of the scheme. We'll refine the internal layouts and specify key finishes and materials for the floors, walls, ceilings, furniture and finer decor pieces. this all happens whilst we make sure your your basic construction needs are also met and to standard.

TECHNICAL

With the design signed off, we move onto the Technical Design stage where we prepare a co-ordinated, fully-detailed, technical construction pack for the project, including all proposed new details for the build.

PRODUCTION

.

We've completed the construction details so next we will develop fully detailed finishes schedules and Furniture, fixtures & Equipment schedule (FF&E) specifications for every area in the property, designing out joinery, sanitary and electrical requirements for the Tender process.

TENDER

.

As the detail design stages are complete, the tender process begins. We work with your design team to advise on the best form of contract & appropriate contractors. Together, we'll issue the tender pack and develop the construction programme.

CONSTRUCTION

.

While the project is on site we will work closely with the contractors and FF&E supply chain to achieve the successful implementation of our design with weekly site visits along with the installation and commissioning of all items included in the Furniture, fixtures & Equipment schedule (FF&E)

POST CONSTRUCTION

.

As the project nears the end, we will visit site to inspect all the works & prepare a schedule of defects if required. We'll suggest remedies for the defects and assist the project manager in preparing all needed documentation for completion sign-off and building certificates. This included maintenance schedules from suppliers and general warrantees on FF&E items.

STYLING

.

Once practical completion has been reached, all furniture and decor has been placed and snags have been concluded, we undertake final styling and do a  photoshoot of your new space, with your permission. This is a great phase where we share tips on styling, and celebrate your new space with you.
